Robert Fleisch Obituary

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of a thoughtful and selfless man who left this world at the age of 72. He was a man whose quiet kindness, steady presence, and deep love for the outdoors touched the lives of everyone who knew him.

Throughout his life, he was known for putting others before himself. Whether offering a helping hand, sharing words of encouragement, or simply listening with patience and understanding, he carried himself with humility and generosity. His compassion was not loud or showy—it was constant, sincere, and deeply felt by those around him.

To friends and family, he was a steady presence: dependable, thoughtful, and wise. He valued simple moments—shared meals, quiet conversations, and time spent with the people he loved. His life was a reminder that kindness, humility, and respect for the natural world are among the most meaningful ways to live.

Though he is no longer with us, his spirit lives on in the forests he walked, the trails he loved, and the memories he leaves behind in the hearts of family and friends. He will be deeply missed and forever remembered.

He is survived by his oldest daughter, Kendra Corrado, and her husband, Frank Corrado Sr., and their four children: Peter Corrado, Frank Corrado Jr., Andrew Corrado, and Ali Corrado. He is also survived by his youngest daughter, Lisa Papienuk, and her husband, Jeffrey Papienuk, and their three sons: Jeffrey Papienuk Jr., Ryan Papienuk, and Nicholas Papienuk. Rob’s sister was Patricia, brother John, and nephew William.

When remembering Rob, the first thing I will always think of is what a compassionate man he was. He had an unconditional love for everyone, including animals. He was the cool dad who took us out of school to go skiing every Friday so we could get some runs in and beat the weekend crowds. He was the life of the party and had such a passion for seeing the best in everything and everyone. He will always be remembered for his sense of humor—inappropriate and all. Rob grew up ice skating and playing “pond hockey” on Franklin Lake in New Jersey. Soon, he was hooked on watching and attending professional ice hockey games, including those of the New York Rangers and the New Jersey Devils. More recently, he developed an interest in collegiate hockey and enjoyed keeping up with the Penn State Nittany Lions men’s ice hockey team. Rob frequently visited the Central Pennsylvania area with his brother John and enjoyed viewing wildlife, fall foliage, and streams throughout the extensive Pennsylvania State Forest lands.
