Robert John Osekavage

Robert J. Osekavage (Bob), 80, of Mahwah, NJ passed away peacefully on February 14, 2021. Loving husband of Barbara (Mott), father to James (wife Kamila), Charles (wife Donna) and Susan. Loving grandfather to Elisabeth, Greyson, Daniel and Thomas.

Bob was born in Bay Shore, Long Island and graduated from Bay Shore High School in 1958. He was a graduate of Union College in Schenectady, NY in 1962. He worked as an aerospace engineer at Bendix Corporation where he worked on the Apollo and Saturn projects then spent over 35 years at Western Union where he retired. As a resident of Mahwah for over 50 years, he volunteered as a Cub Scout leader and little league soccer, baseball and softball coach. Bob loved traveling with his wife and enjoyed trips across the US and to Europe and loved spending time with his grandchildren.

The family is holding private services at this time and will be having a celebration of Bob’s life later in the spring.  In lieu of flowers, please send donations to the American Cancer Society.
