Ronald Luchitski, age 88, a proud veteran of the 82nd Airborne Division of the U.S. Army during the Korean War Era, passed away peacefully in his sleep on July 25, 2024. He was predeceased by his loving and beautiful wife Dorothy. Loving father of Renee (Robert), Ronni Diane, and Victoria (Gregory). Cherished grandfather of Christopher (Vanessa), Jessica, Keith, Heather (Mark), Michael, Trevor and Cole. Beloved great-grandfather to Connor and Chloe. Born and raised in Spring Valley NY, Ron moved with his wife Dorothy to Ramsey, NJ where they raised their three daughters, eventually moving to Warwick NY with his oldest daughter and her family. He was a plumber by trade and an avid New York Rangers and Yankees fan. He spent his days collecting sports cards/memorabilia, drawing, watching cartoons, and solving word puzzles.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him including those who took such wonderful care of him at Brighton Gardens of Saddle River.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 29, 2024 from 5PM – 8PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey. A funeral service will be conducted the following day, Tuesday, July 30, 2024 at the funeral home at 10AM. Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
