Samuel “Sam” “Papa” “Chief” Alderisio, 85, on January 17, 2021 of Mahwah, NJ. Sam was a 70 year Mahwah resident. Survived by former wife, Joan. Loving father of Laurie Dombrowski, Lisa Pandise, Lynne Parkin and Tony Alderisio. Cherished grandfather of 8. Sam was a USN Veteran on the USS Coral Sea. He had a 36 year Law Enforcement career, 16 as Chief of Police and was a Mahwah Town Councilman. Sam was also a private pilot, aircraft mechanic, auto mechanic and handyman. He loved Mahwah, Maine, boating, golf and cars but loved and supported his children and grandchildren the most. #1PAPA

Due to covid, funeral services will be private. Family anticipates a public Celebration of Life at a later date.
