Sandra A. Bunger

Sandra “Sandy” Ann Bunger, 75, of Ramsey, NJ, passed away on Tuesday, March 15, 2022.

Sandy was born December 3, 1946, in Garfield, NJ, to Wanda and Walter Pietranski who predeceased her. On November 14th, 1970, she married Richard Bunger of Matawan, NJ. Earlier that same year she had graduated from Montclair State University, and several years later earned a master’s degree from New York University.  For 36 years, Sandy worked as a Home Economics teacher for the Pompton Lakes Board of Education, helping students prepare for life after school. Sandy is survived by her husband of 51 years, Rich Bunger; two children, daughter Leslie and her husband Jay Bley of Wyckoff and son Brian and his wife Christine Bunger of Ramsey; her sister Lois Giamongo and her husband Ron of Fair Lawn; grandchildren Jake, Lily, Dylan, Cooper, and Riley; and beloved nieces, nephews and in-laws. Memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, March 20, 2022 from 1 - 4 PM with a service being conducted at 3:30 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey.
