Scott M. Latz

Scott M. Latz, 65, of Ramsey, NJ passed away peacefully surrounded by his family after complications from surgery on March, 23, 2022. Beloved husband of Kathleen (Gilligan) Latz and loving father to Kevin and Erin. Scott is also survived by his mother Elaine Latz and sister Stacye Page. He is predeceased by his father Herman Latz and mother-in-law Josephine Gilligan. In addition, he is survived by members of the Gilligan family including his father-in-law, Francis Gilligan and Kevin, Donna, Brian and Laura Gilligan. Scott is also survived by nieces and nephews. Scott was the founder and president of Scott Latz CPA in New Milford for the last 25 years. He was also the treasurer and secretary of Milford Arms in New Milford.  Scott was a member of St. Paul RC Church in Ramsey. He also enjoyed being involved in Ramsey Recreation Baseball when Kevin was younger. Scott enjoyed the simple things in life; working, spending time with his family and friends, vacationing, fishing, doing yard work and attending Rutgers football games. In recent years, Scott found a passion for bicycle riding and was a member of the Bicycle Touring Club of North Jersey.

Visitation will be held on Saturday from from 5-8 PM and Sunday from 1-4 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Monday, March 28, 2022 at 10 AM at St. Paul RC Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave, Ramsey. (Everyone please meet at church) Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery in Mahwah.
