Thomas J. Carolan

Thomas (Tom) J. Carolan passed away on January 14, 2023 at the age of 51.  Tom was born in Brooklyn, NY on October 30, 1971 and moved with his parents and his two brothers to Montvale, NJ as a young boy.  He attended Our Lady of Mercy Academy in Park Ridge, NJ and went on to graduate from St. Joseph HIgh School in Montvale, NJ where he excelled at baseball and football.  He graduated from Siena College in 1993 where he also achieved excellence in at baseball and football.  Tom began his career at Mercer Management Consulting and worked at various other companies throughout his career.  He ultimately settled in as an equities trader and partner at SVB Leerink.  After college, Tom moved to Hoboken, NJ and enjoyed spending summers at the Jersey shore.  Tom and Sara met at the shore and were married in May 2000.  After briefly living in Rutherford, they moved to Ramsey where they started their family. Tom loved his three girls and enjoyed coaching them in nearly every sport from softball to basketball, lacrosse to soccer.  He was a Board member of the Ramsey Hotspur FC and was an avid Jets and Mets fan. He loved attending and supporting St. Joe's football games, picking horses for the Kentucky Derby and spending time with his family in LBI.

Tom is survived by his wife Sara, daughters, Maggie, Bridget, and Tess, his parents Andy and Carol of Montvale, NJ, brother Andrew and sister in-law, Melissa of Ramsey, brother Jim and sister-in-law Katie of Ramsey. He was uncle to Ryan, Kelly, Chris, Matt, Brianne, Teddy and Anna.
