Thomas Lally

Thomas J. Lally passed away peacefully surrounded by his children at the age of 85.  Tom was born in New York City to Sadie and Thomas Lally. Raised in the Bronx, he attended High School and then joined the US Army and was stationed in Europe. He then went to work at an accounting firm in New York City and met his beautiful wife Rita. They married in September 1965 in Brooklyn, NY, were married for over 50 years and their love was an inspiration to us all. Tom was happiest when surrounded by his family and friends. His faith gave him strength to enjoy life to its fullest. He was a great storyteller, singer of Irish Music and loved vacationing at the beach. Tom was preceded in death by his wife Rita. Survived by his sister’s Theresa Mannion, Sally Rooney and Ann Fleming and his brother in law’s Brendan (deceased), Tom and Ron. Loving father to Tara, Kristen and Tommy and their spouses Patrick, Roy and Stephanie. Cherished grandfather to Dylan, Olivia, Kelly, Erin, Sophia and Sadie. Tom will be missed dearly by all who knew and loved him. 

Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024 from 4-8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ. 

A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, November 16, 2024 at 10 AM at St. Paul R.C. Church, 200 Wyckoff Ave, Ramsey, NJ.
