Thomas M. Ross "Percy" of Suffern , N.Y. passed away on June 9, 2021. He was 81 years old. Percy was a beloved husband, father and grandfather “Poppy”. He was born on December 10, 1939, in Brooklyn to Thomas and Alice Ross.
In 1965, through a shared love of skiing, he met the love of his life Phyllis at Hunter Ski Mountain, they went on to be married for 52 years. They started a family and lovingly raised two daughters, Melissa and Allison in Suffern, N.Y. He spent his career as a stockbroker on Wall Street in the 1980s, later owned and operated O'Toole’s Restaurant Pub in Spring Valley, N.Y. and ended his career in the financial industry at R.F. Lafferty in New York, N.Y.
In his later years, Tommy greatly treasured the time he spent with his family and grandchildren. His passions included traveling, finer foods and wine, watching golf, The New York Yankees, and the Wall Street Journal. He was known for his easy going personality, big heart and comforting laugh. He will be greatly missed by his family and all that knew him.
He was predeceased by his beloved daughter; Melissa Anne, sister; Eileen Angelina, and nephew; Richard Angelina. He is survived by his wife Phyllis (Suffern, N.Y.), daughter Allison Dwyer (John) of Wyckoff, NJ and his three grandchildren (Kate, Emily and Jack Thomas). Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Tom on Monday, June 14, 2021 from 4 - 8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. A funeral mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, June 15, 2021 at 10:30 AM at Sacred Heart Church in Suffern, New York.
