Virginia A. (Browne) Hauck

Virginia A. Hauck, 84, passed away on Sunday, July 23, 2023 at Christian Health in Wyckoff, NJ.  She was the beloved wife of the late James E. Hauck, with whom she celebrated 29 years of marriage until his early death in 1990. She was also predeceased by their infant daughter Margaret Ann.

Born in California on September 3, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Ed and Jean Browne. She met her husband Jim at a USO dance in California when he was in the Navy. They married and moved back east and began their life together. She enjoyed camping, bowling, Mahjong, playing cards, and especially time with family and friends.

Virginia is survived and will be deeply missed by her five children, her son John Hauck of New Jersey; her daughter Mary Saberton and her husband Jim of Delaware; her son Richard Hauck of New Jersey; her daughter Bernadette Hauck and her spouse Laura Kull of New Jersey; and her daughter Peggy Thomas and her husband Matt of Pennsylvania.

She leaves behind her grandchildren  Nicole, Evan, Casey, Zachary, Brendan, Christopher, Kate and Nathan and also her great grandchildren Ayla, Hadley Mae and Cayden.

She leaves behind her two sisters Kathleen  and Betty Lou (Sister Mary Bernadette 0.P.) and her two brothers Eddie and Joey. She was predeceased by her two brothers, Johnny and Mark and her sister Shirley.

She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Family and friends are invited to pay their respects on Wednesday, July 26, 2023 from 4-8 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home,109 Darlington Ave, Ramsey, NJ. A Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 10 AM at St. Luke’s R.C. Church, 340 Franklin Turnpike, Ho-Ho-Kus, NJ.  Interment will follow at Maryrest Cemetery, 770 Darlington Ave., Mahwah, NJ.
