Vojtech Cerny

Vojtech Cerny, age 76, of Mahwah, NJ, passed away on May 9th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, adventure, and intellectual curiosity. He was Born on March 16, 1948, in Stare Mesto, Czech Republic.

Vojtech found joy in the simplicity of nature, often immersing himself in the tranquility of camping by the lake or wondering through scenic hiking trails. His passion for the great outdoors was only rivaled by his love for philosophical exploration, finding solace and inspiration within the pages of his favorite books.

Vojtech is survived by his cherished sons, James, Thomas, Paul, and Peter, who will forever carry his values and resilience in their hearts. His sister, Jirina, also mourns the loss of a beloved brother. 

In addition to his sons and sister, Vojtech leaves behind a legacy through his beloved grandchildren: Hannah, Jake, Kevin, Henry, Callie, and Logan. 

Though Vojtech may no longer walk among us, his spirit lives on in the memories of those who were fortunate enough to know him. May his adventurous soul find eternal peace in the embrace of nature's infinite beauty.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, May 14, 2024 from 4 PM - 7 PM at Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, 109 Darlington Avenue, Ramsey, NJ.
