Wallace A. Krzeminski of Ramsey, NJ (known as Jud to his family), died February 27, 2021 at The Valley Hospital in Ridgewood, NJ, following a short illness. He was born 88 years ago in Passaic, NJ, to Stella and Wallace Krzeminski and raised in Wallington, NJ. Wallace was a proud graduate of Bucknell University, where he earned his Bachelor of Science in Education and Columbia University, where he earned a Master of Arts. Wally’s beloved family includes his wife Carol, children Lynne and Keith (wife Nicole), grandsons Peter and Carter, sister Carol (husband Roger Fromkin), and nephews Darryl and David.
Wally was a teacher through and through. He taught high school mathematics at Wallington, River Dell, and Ramapo, and then became Math Department Chairperson when Indian Hills High School opened in Oakland. After he retired, he taught math courses at Ramapo College of New Jersey. Wally was always one to help, teach, and share words of wisdom with friends and colleagues. An active member of Emmanuel Church in Ridgewood, he assumed many leadership roles over the years. Wally loved to read and walked extensively around town. He would often strike up conversations with fellow Bucknellians on his walks, because he always wore one of his Bucknell caps. He delighted in trips to the ocean; Montauk, NY and Maine were favorite destinations throughout the years. Wally’s warm, gentle demeanor and his calm, organized manner will be missed by all who knew him.
A memorial service will be held at a later date at the Emmanuel Church, and his ashes will be scattered in the ocean. Arrangements are being handled by Van Emburgh-Sneider-Pernice Funeral Home, Ramsey.
Memorial contributions may be made to Emmanuel Church, 14 Hope Street, Ridgewood, NJ 07450.
